As a family of four, we ordered a variety of dishes — Teff Waffles, Teff Pancakes, a hearty Teff Burger, and the classic Smashed Avo with scrambled egg. Everything was freshly made, wholesome, and full of flavor. The kids were thrilled with their creamy milkshakes alongside their waffles and pancakes, which made it a real treat.

After brunch, we had the chance to enjoy their coffee roasting experience. Watching the process from green beans through to the final roast was fascinating, and it gave us a new appreciation for every cup. The aroma of the beans transforming in the roaster set the scene perfectly. Sitting down afterwards with a freshly brewed coffee, knowing it had just come from the roaster, made the whole moment extra special — the taste was smooth, vibrant, and full of character.

What made it even more meaningful was learning about the birthplace of coffee in Ethiopia. Michael shared the story of how coffee was first discovered there, and how Teff — a staple Ethiopian grain featured in their menu — ties into that rich cultural heritage. It’s rare to find a café that blends food, drink, and history in such an authentic way.

Their coffee was nowhere near a good Ethiopian coffee. The beans were not fresh, the roast date was over six months old, and the roast was much darker than medium. Overall, it was a very bad and stale coffee.
